I was recently discussing photographing people with a friend. I said I often photograph tourist resorts and don't feel comfortable taking images of people close up and invading their privacy while they are relaxing on holiday. This made me recall some photos of people on Llanddwyn beach I took in the summer and how they were all from a distance framed against the sea. I really enjoyed taking these and think it sums up my approach towards people photography, which I'm at peace with. My opinion is that not all images of people need to be close enough to show their expressions, most of the time they are just one of many elements arranged in a scene.
